Stop Gathering Requirements
The common response by a business analyst when asked to describe his or her primary activity is “I gather requirements”. Management tells business analysts when assigning them the next problem to solve: “Go gather the requirements”. This is unfortunate. Let’s examine what one would do if one were truly to “gather requirements”.
